Highgrove Retirement Village is a new concept in retirement villages designed to cater for the changing lifestyle needs of residents throughout their retirement life.
That means that unlike many other retirement villages, Highgrove provides independent living options for people able (and wanting) to take care of themselves, but should the need arise, they can access temporary care, respite, or more permanent care for themselves or their spouse.
Highgrove provides its residents peace of mind. They know that whatever happens in the future, they will be well catered for at Highgrove – and not have to uproot and find new living arrangements elsewhere.
Independent Living
There are currently 16 one and two bedroom apartments at Highgrove, purpose-built for people seeking an independent retirement lifestyle. When completed the village will be home to 50 apartments.
Assisted Living
Highgrove offers all the ‘services’ that other retirement villages provide – including meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner delivered to your home or served in the village restaurant), linen service and cleaning.
On-site Hospital
Opened in August 2008, Patrick Ferry House is located on the same site as Highgrove Retirement Village – and along with Terence Kennedy House in Waitakere provides the Auckland region with the largest private care hospital group…

On the surface, apartments at Highgrove seem much like those at any other contemporary retirement village. But look deeper and you’ll find the similarities end there ..
